Responsibilities:
- Ability to do echocardiograms/vascular studies
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients
- Operate ultrasound equipment to capture images of specific body parts or systems
- Prepare patients for procedures and explain the process to them
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to analyze and interpret ultrasound images
- Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during procedures
- Follow established protocols and guidelines for performing sonographic examinations
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Sonographer
- Proficient in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control practices
- Strong understanding of physiology and diagnostic evaluation
- Expertise in various types of sonography, including vascular and cardiac
- Knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and interpretation of results
- Ability to assess vital signs and monitor patient condition during procedures
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Sonography program
- ARDMS RDCS certification or RCS CCI certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
