Job Summary: Registered Nurse (RN) - Level 3 Trauma Emergency Room We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team in our 24 bed, Level 3 Trauma Emergency Room, ranked in Lifepoint Health. As an RN in our ER, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality care to patients experiencing a wide range of traumatic injuries and medical emergencies.
Key Responsibilities: - Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute and critical conditions, including trauma, cardiac events, respiratory distress, and other medical emergencies.
- Assessment and Triage: Quickly and accurately assess patient conditions, prioritize care based on severity, and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Trauma Management: Administer life-saving treatments and interventions for trauma patients, including wound care, medication administration, and emergency resuscitation.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery and positive patient outcomes.
- Documentation: Accurately document all patient interactions, assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Education and Support: Provide patient and family education on medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Compliance: Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to ensure a safe and compliant environment for all patients and staff.

Applicants should have a current State of Tennessee or Multi-State Registered Nurse licensure and possess an Associate's or Bachelor's degree or RN Diploma in Nursing.
Required Certifications
BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required to be current upon hire
ACLS & PALS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required within 6 month of employment, if not current upon hire.
TNCC - Preferred
Minimum Work Experience:
1 year of Emergency Services nursing, AEMT, Paramedic or Military experience - preferred
