Transactional Paralegal/Legal Assistant

This person will be highly organized and proactive in supporting Finance and Restructuring teams with a variety of administrative and transactional tasks. This role involves managing document preparation, calendar coordination, UCC filings, transaction support, and research activities. The ideal candidate will handle a range of responsibilities to ensure smooth operations and effective support for the team.
Most Important Responsibilities:
• Produce and edit technical documents, including typing, drafting, redlining, and converting files from PDF to Word. Work with complex excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations, and handle scanning and copying tasks.
• Utilize legal terminology and procedures to draft contracts, agreements, correspondence, and client presentations. Organize and maintain files and client documentation according to attorney preferences.
• Prepare and file UCC financial statements, amendments, continuations, and terminations. Conduct and summarize lien searches and other due diligences.
• Assist with transaction closings by preparing closing documents, organizing materials, and preparing closing and post-closing binders.
• Provide general secretarial assistance to attorneys, including liaising with marketing and client accounting departments, answering phones, scheduling appointments, processing expenses, and managing mail.
• Maintain attorney’s calendars and contact lists, arrange internal and external meetings, and manage changes or reminders as needed. Be proficient in calendar management software.
• Submit attorney time using the 3E billing system, review and revise client billing statements, and act as a liaison between billing and attorneys regarding billing matters.
What you can bring to the table to impact this role, team, and organization:
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2+ years of experience as a corporate paralegal or legal assistant, with a focus on Finance and Restructuring transactions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to build rapport with attorneys and professionals, balance client service with productivity, and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent oral and written communication with a strong grasp of legal terminology.

• Familiar with time and billing software
• Experience with UCC Search products
