Day to Day:
- Sourcing Projects (both tactically and more strategically)
- Negotiating longer-term contracts with vendors (redlining and drafting isn't as necessary for this role)
- Working through existing backlog of POs
- Communicating with other teams to figure out what's needed
Must Have:
- Supply Chain Background
- Min 3 years experience as a sourcing manager (aka. commodity manager, supply chain manager, procurment manager, etc)
- Basically they just need to have had at least 3 year doing hands on sourcing for materials
- Preferrably sourcing for mechanical parts, Electrical or raw materials (metals, parts, etc)
Plusses:
- Aerospace background
- Some mechanical background (Sourcing for mechanical parts, working in a mechanical industry)
