Coulee Bank is seeking an energetic, flexible and professionally driven colleague to fill a full-time, Universal Teller role at our Onalaska branch, as well as backup our La Crosse branch, as business needs arise. As a Universal Teller, you will enjoy working flexible daytime hours Monday – Friday; between the hours of 8am-6pm, and no more than two Saturday mornings a month from 8am-12pm.
This Universal Teller position is responsible for providing customers with friendly, efficient, and professional service in an accurate and timely manner at all times by processing account transactions, cross-selling the Bank's products and services, opening, maintaining and closing of all account types, and promoting business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff. In addition, this person is responsible for managing and balancing a cash drawer in a detailed, accurate manner.

A Day in the Life of a Universal Teller
- Provides consistent superior customer service in a friendly, efficient, and accurate manner.
- Processes customer transactions and requests in accordance with Coulee Bank policies and procedures in an accurate and timely manner.
- Answer questions and customer concerns regarding their relationship with Coulee Bank.
- Proactively identify and inform customers of account status deficiencies and disputed transactions while providing options to resolve.
- Research customer questions, resolve account issues and analyze account close-outs to assess the potential for future business.
- Open accounts for new and existing customers, ensuring adherence to policy and procedures.
- Identify the needs of new and existing customers and offer appropriate services currently available.
- Promote banking services to current and potential customers.
- Assist in community awareness events to increase bank outreach and foster new business opportunities.
- Contribute to the attainment of bank office sales goals and related objectives by promoting the bank's products and services and by generating leads and referrals, through in-house referrals and outside business development.
- Performs administrative tasks associated with treasury management, operations or others as assigned.
- Performs project work, administratively and through customer outreach in support of ongoing bank improvements.
- Advocate and cultivate a culture of strong internal and external customer service with a focus on quality of service, consistency of communication and effective follow up.
- Adheres to all Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering policies and procedures, including, but not limited to reporting suspicious activity, gathering of information for Currency Transaction Reports, Know Your Customer (CIP) principles.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent desired.
- Preference of a minimum of 2 years progressive customer service or banking experience.
- Professional experience anticipating common customer concerns and analyzing current procedures and processes for available improvements.
- Experience in efficient personal organization and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Thoroughness and attention to detail while seeking to identify and correct banking errors.
- Experience seeking to improve and develop processes and ideas related to daily banking tasks.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to speak concisely. Strong written skills are needed to accurately and clearly describe the details of a variety of transactions.
- Current notary or ability to become a notary, as needed (based on needs of branch located in).
- Ability to use time and resources efficiently in order to accomplish tasks.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for financial transactions.
- Knowledge of office procedures, practices, and use of standard office and teller equipment.
- Work is performed within an office environment. Frequent mental and visual concentration for computer use is required.
- Potentially will drive to a seminar or one of the various bank locations.
- Must have relevant computer skills.

The likely salary range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00 per hour, this is however, not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Salary will be determined based on experience and could fall outside of this range.
