Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure that the company's purchasing needs are met in a cost-effective and timely manner.
- Identify potential suppliers and conduct vendor evaluations to ensure that they meet quality and compliance standards.
- Negotiate contracts and terms of agreements with suppliers, including pricing, delivery, and quality expectations.
- Manage the procurement process, including purchase order creation, order tracking, contract management and delivery schedules.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that purchasing needs are aligned with business objectives.
- Monitor supplier performance and develop improvement plans as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations and quality requirements and industry standards.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends, pricing, and supply chain dynamics to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Provides quarterly reporting to Senior Leadership Team detailing purchasing activity.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience in the medical device industry.
- Excellent negotiation skills and experience with contract management.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read and interpret product drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations and ISO standards preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP or Oracle, preferred.
- Ability to create data analysis tools and spreadsheets to manage data.
- Superior knowledge of the procurement process for complex assemblies with multi-level BOMs, in a regulated environment.
