Job Title: Electrical Project Manager
Pay Rate: $110k - $130k per annum
Duration: Direct Hire
Location: Onsite – Phoenix AZ
Primary Responsibilities:
Preconstruction Planning:
- Reviews construction drawings, specification, and diagrams
- Reviews contract scope of work
- Reviews project labor, equipment, and material requirements
- Review estimate and set up initial budget and schedule of values
- Set up labor budget and production targets
- Review material quotes, types, and quantities
- Review subcontractor quotes and scopes of work
- Review quotes and selection of subcontractor and vendors
- Leads team in project planning including underground routing, equipment layout, conduit routing, branch circuitry grouping and best practice installation
- Assists in schedule review, schedule building and manpower loading
Cost Management:
- Track all actual job costs vs estimated costs
- Track all labor costs including labor rate and labor budgets breakouts
- Accountable for project productivity tracking / scoring
- Review job costs weekly and report any discrepancies or issues with manager
- Estimate and budget all project change orders
- Request and review all vendor and subcontractor invoicing
- Assist with monthly job cost projection and billings
Project Management
- Communicate efficiently and efficiently with our customer and project team
- Maintain all required project documentation logs to insure the foreman and customers have the information required. Track and update logs weekly and communicate with the project team.
- Maintain a project issues log and keep up to date, follow up with outstanding issues weekly
- Monitor and document scheduled vs actual progress on site and schedule subcontractors, equipment and deliveries
- Communicate all changes with the filed
- Conduct weekly project review with foreman and super
- Review weekly the foreman’s daily logs, 1-week short duration plan and 3 week look ahead
- Manage and coordinate the vendors and subcontractors
- Job Site Documentation: Accountable for job site documentation process and procedures
- Includes: Plans, Specs, Submittals, RFIs, ASI, PRs, Change Orders, Submittals, etc.
Qualification:
- Safe working procedures and knowledge of OSHA requirements
- Advanced knowledgeable of the National Electric Code requirements
- Advanced knowledge of electrical material, components, equipment, systems, layout, and methods of
- installation
- Advanced knowledge on construction sequence, scheduling, and trade interaction
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams and written specifications
- Ability to communicate information to foreman for proper installation
- Ability to manage 5-10 construction projects
- Ability to stay calm in tense monuments
Educational and Training:
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent training
- Electrical apprenticeship or accredited electrical training program or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years’ experience in the electrical construction industry
- 5+ years in a leadership role on electrical construction projects
- OSHA 30 training is preferred, OSHA 500 is better
- Computer software proficiency including Microsoft office and outlook
