Job Title: Image Sensor Characterization Automation Engineer IV
Duration: 12 months

Summary:
- Image Sensors team at client is seeking a depth sensor characterization automation engineer to evaluate the performance of custom and off-the-shelf (OTS) depth sensors and support internal and cross-functional teams with research and development of test and analysis automation control for depth sensors.
Summary of Role and Responsibilities:
- Bring up hardware, firmware, and software solutions provided by vendors
- Develop GUI and test programs to integrate boards, sensors, and external instruments for automation control
- Design GUI applications to analyze test data and generate test reports
- Work closely with various core tech teams and other organizations to define test procedures and specs for new prototype devices and systems.
- Collect and analyze data based on defined test plans
The first part is automation testing.
- The platform they will be using is Python with GUI design.
- The layout is the user interface and will need to communicate with the instrument and control it.
- Then they will take the DLL or API into Python to communicate with the sensor.
- The resource should also be able to write the DLL or API then migrate to Python.
Second part is data analysis.
- They will be using MATLAB to conduct data analysis.
- The resource will be need to be experienced with graphic interface design, knowledge on how to communicate with various instruments.
- They will also need to have some knowledge of image sensor especially depth sensor.
Skills:
- Expertise in Python with PyQT GUI, DLL application to control lab instrument and achieve test automation
- Rich experience in controlling various lab equipment with different communication protocols such as RS232, USB, Ethernet, Modbus
- Expertise in Matlab for data analysis and reporting
- Familiarity with debugging tools such as PyCharm, Github, Qt Designer application
- Experience with image and depth sensor control, familiar with protocols such as SPI, I2C, MIPI
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Basic knowledge of direct Time-of-Flight (dToF) sensors, single-photon avalanche diodes (SPADs) and understanding of depth sensor operation and performance trade-offs
- Basic understanding of Image sensor characterization
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or relevant field required.
- 3+ years of industry or related work experience
Preferred Qualification:
- MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline
- Hands-on experience with the characterization and evaluation of various depth sensors.
