Back End Engineer

Our client, a Fortune 100 organization, is looking for a Back End Engineer to join their team. In this position, you’ll be tasked with working alongside fellow engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions for moderate to complex projects in a fast-paced environment while getting hands on UPSKILLING to further your skills and career.

Responsibilities
- Coding of complex design specifications utilizing back-end technologies
- Work with peers to carry out code reviews and unit testing of new development
- Interact with other development teams to ensure a consistent approach to software development
- Communicate professionally and effectively to clients, management, and other departments
- Support integration/system testing team with troubleshooting
- Establish a working relationship and facilitate on-going dialog with technical leads, team members and managers
- Develop an understanding of the insurance industry and products
Qualifications
- 2+ years’ enterprise experience in a Developer role or equivalent
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
- Web Services development using Java
- Experience with or knowledge of Unix
- BONUS: Experience with APIs
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Driven, hard worker willing to further themselves and learn new skills
