Position: Business Analyst (Data Governance)
Location: Miami, FL or Charlotte, NC (REMOTE)
Summary:
- The Business Analyst will work closely with business units and IT teams to ensure data integrity and compliance on Data Governance initiatives
- The ideal candidate will have a background in Data Governance, Data Management, or Data Analytics
- Must have experience with using MS Excel for exploring and analyzing data
- Must have experience with collecting, analyzing, and documenting user requirements
- This position is Remote, with occasional travel to Miami, FL or Charlotte, NC
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Development team in writing Epics, Themes, and User Stories for building business requirements pertaining to Data Governance initiatives
- Elicit and collaborate with Business Stakeholders to define business processes, improvements, and business objectives with a focus on system capabilities and integration points
- Analyze current needs, anticipate future needs, and collaborate in solutions integrating various business operations
- Ability to listen emphatically to clients and create solutions to exceed their expectations
- Work with Analysts and Business Users to translate functional specifications into technical designs for implementation and deployment
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff
- Create and present solution proposals
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on expertise being a Business Analyst
- 2+ years of mastery in MS Excel for exploring and analyzing data
- 2+ years of experience with collecting, analyzing, and documenting user requirements
- Strong business acumen, with analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to understand how decisions impact timelines and budget
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred; equivalent real-world work experience will be considered
- Agile/Scrum Certifications are preferred
- Knowledge of Agile Software Development practices and Release Management is preferred
- Experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or Data Analytics is preferred
