Electrical Controls Technician designs, troubleshoots, and programs PLC electrical controls for current and new industrial automation equipment. The candidate must be a flexible, results-oriented problem-solver. My client provides sales, service, and support throughout the USA and numerous countries worldwide. They are continually growing domestically and internationally and are searching for a qualified candidate to fill their Electrical Controls Technician/Engineer position.

Duties:
· Create and maintain electrical drawings for new and current models
· Layout of electrical control cabinets
· Work with the engineering department to keep systems current with technology and electrical standards
· Write PLC programs for industrial equipment
· Assist production with proper techniques for electrical control panel wiring and PLC programming
· Assist with design and development of electrical software programs for new and upgrades of current products
· Work with customers, service team, and engineering team on solving technical problems and training
· Some customer support travel required (10%); daily on-site
Qualifications:
· Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering BS or equivalent experience preferred.
· Five (5) years of experience with industrial controls and system integrations with a strong focus on PLC software programming.
· OEM Circuit design
· PLC programming software, Allen Bradley preferred, Siemens a plus
· Feedback control systems, particularly sampled data acquisition systems
· Servo design/development and troubleshooting experience of advanced motion control systems, including multi-axis coordinated axis applications, is a plus.
· Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Outlook).
· Familiarity with an ERP System, SAP a plus
· Good understanding of domestic & international electrical codes (NEC, NFPA79, IEC60204-1).
· Authorized to work in the US and able to pass a background check.
· Must be able to: sit and/or stand/walk for extended periods of time; navigate stairs and congested workspaces several times daily; bend, kneel, & reach overhead
