Join one of New England's finest clubs on Cape Cod as a Sous Chef and play a crucial role in delivering outstanding dining experiences. In this leadership position, you will work closely with the Executive Chef to plan, prepare, and execute high-quality menus that enhance member and guest satisfaction.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Menu Development: Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to develop creative, seasonally-inspired menus.
- Supervision and Coordination: Oversee kitchen staff to ensure smooth, efficient daily operations.
- Training and Mentoring: Train and mentor kitchen personnel to promote teamwork and professional growth.
- Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs.
- Food Preparation and Presentation: Ensure high culinary standards in food preparation and presentation.
- Compliance: Maintain compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Leadership: Assume responsibility for kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef.
- Kitchen Environment: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Industry Trends: Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to continuously enhance dining offerings.
- Event Participation: Contribute to special events, catering functions, and themed dinners as required.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a high-end restaurant or country club setting.
- Culinary degree or equivalent culinary arts education.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Exceptional culinary skills with a passion for creating memorable dishes.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Proficiency in using kitchen equipment and tools.
- Creative and innovative approach to menu development.
