Who We Are Looking For
An Area Director of Operations who impresses with a strong business acumen, clear communication, work ethic, and exceptional service delivery. This leader will roll up his or her sleeves and make a tangible impact in all of the companies in our extensive portfolio: Valet Parking, Parking Lot Management, Garage Management, Shuttle and Transportation Services, and Porter Services.
What You Will Do
- Responsible for the leadership, administration, management, budgeting, planning and coordination of Valet and Parking Operations, with room to grow into other areas of the organization.
- Develops and implements long term strategic goals and objectives which will enhance and improve the parking programs in support of Seven One Seven Parking’s mission including large scale projects and planning.
- Establishes priorities and plans that will enhance and improve the parking programs throughout Seven One Seven Parking. Responsible to look beyond existing methodologies to define and resolve complex problems.
- Designs, develops, and implements short and long-term business plans and projects, goals and objectives that generate new revenue opportunities and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders and customers.
- Develop and implement strategies for optimizing performance with the goal of meeting or exceeding established performance measures.
- Assumes P&L responsibility by developing capital and operational budgets for all purchasing needs within the assigned territory. Administer the budget, develop business cases, track financial performance, forecast revenues, perform data analytics, work with P&L Statements, revenue projections, trend analysis, and perform other analysis, as necessary.
- Review emerging technology related concepts to develop and implement fresh market ideas for parking operations.
- Analyzes local, national, and international trends and companies to identify opportunities for business improvement and present financial case for implementation.
- Maintains a consistent, high quality, customer-focused orientation when conducting business and providing services to the customer.
- Manages day to day interactions with partners and visitors to communicate and resolve any issues or conflicts in a timely manner.
- Researches and analyzes all potential risks and rewards associated with each parking area throughout the country. Uses this research to recommend growth for new or underdeveloped areas.
- Demonstrates flexibility and positive leadership. Develops and supports a responsive service delivery model for operational areas.
- Provide effective leadership in the management of assigned personnel, allocation of resources. Develop and lead the planning of staffing needs.
- Hires, trains, coahes, mentors, and develops staff. Establishes performance expectations and standards for all levels of employees to achieve or exceed performance.
- Liaison with outside organizations on all aspects of parking including state and local agencies to ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws and ordinances affecting parking.
- Stays abreast of parking operations software and industry benchmarks/trends. Research new technology and recommend possible alternatives or improved technology to enhance the operation of parking facilities under the care and control of parking operations
Who You Are
- 5 or more years of Director level experience within the parking industry with multiple location supervision
- Previous experience in a senior leadership role with P&L and income statement responsibility.
- Previous experience utilizing KPI’s to evaluate success at reaching targets
- Experience in managing budgets, revenue proposals and forecasting results.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time required.
- Able to work flexible hours if business need dictates
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and vendor management skills. High ethical standards and commitment to Seven Parking Service Inc. core values.
- Strong knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point and General Microsoft Office Application
- Ability to analyze facts and exercise sound judgment in decision-making.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a timely manner, both orally and in writing, and in public speaking before various sized groups and media interaction.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a self-managed team environment
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Education Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in business, human resource management or a related field required
- MBA/Master’s in management, human resource development or a related field preferred
