LHH is seeking a Chief of Staff to assist an opening at an incredible non-profit organization. This candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the Chief Communications Officer and Strategy Officer by streamlining operations, enhancing communication, and aligning departmental goals with the organization’s overarching strategy. This candidate MUST have non-profit experience. This role is an exceptional opportunity to work alongside a seasoned leader with a proven track record in driving impactful solutions and leading transformative initiatives across both public and private sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Support: Collaborate in the development and execution of critical initiatives, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee the daily operations of the Marketing and Advocacy teams, identifying and addressing operational challenges as they arise.
- Communication Liaison: Act as a central communication point between departments and senior leadership, ensuring messages are clear, consistent, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Project Management: Lead and manage special projects, including event coordination, campaign management, and the execution of strategic initiatives. Represent the Chief Communications Officer and Strategy Officer in meetings as needed.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work with internal and external stakeholders to promote initiatives that drive economic development, business growth, and community well-being.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Account Management: Assist with managing accounts and ensuring that all account-related tasks and responsibilities are handled efficiently.
- Event Assistance: Provide support for large-scale events, particularly those held in downtown Atlanta, ensuring their successful execution.
- External Needs: Manage and address external needs and requirements as they arise, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Nonprofit Experience: MUST have proven experience working within the nonprofit sector.
- Leadership Experience: Demonstrated experience in a leadership or strategic support role, ideally within marketing, communications, or advocacy sectors.
- Project Management: Strong track record in managing complex projects, delivering results on time and within budget.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Adaptability: Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
