Commissioning Engineer
Praetorian Power Protection LLC is seeking a Commissioning Engineer with experience in a datacenter construction environment for a full-time permanent position in Prineville, OR.
The Commissioning Engineer will work as part of the GC’s commissioning team. Chief duties include reporting to the Commissioning manager or designees on the project, attending meetings and documenting meeting minutes, tracking progress of MEP contractor installations, inspecting installed materials for compliance with the contract documents, and supporting equipment testing scripts in coordination with the General Contractor, Facilities representatives, and MEP Trade contractors. Responsibilities include:
Work with Client, Owner, and Trade Partners to ensure completion of Commissioning Levels 2-5
- Ensure compliance of program standards
- Validate all required equipment documentation is submitted and complete
- Assist trade partners with issue resolution
- Review contract documents for MEP completeness and constructability. Work with the project management teams to identify and resolve any scope gaps, means and methods omissions and project specific challenges.
- Perform site walks throughout the course of construction and review installations for quality and compliance with the contract documents
- Support functional testing with trade contractors in the field. Identify, document, and track issues as found during the testing
- Build and maintain relationships with all project entities
- Identify and resolve commissioning schedule constraints
- Assist with building and maintaining the project commissioning schedule
- Facilitate Cx Coordination meetings
- Communicate clearly, confidently, and professionally with Clients / Engineers of Record / GC's / Subs / Vendors
- Candidate must be organized and able to generate and track their own to-do list as well as the lists of other trade contractors.
Qualifications:
- Current CxA / CBCP certification a plus, but not required
- Degree in the construction / engineering fields a plus, but not required.
- Three to five years' experience in the commercial construction industry
- Current Driver’s License and must be insurable with no major infractions
Compensation Package, DOQ/DOE
- $50-$60/hr. DOE + Bonus
