JOB SUMMARY:
The Inbound International Shipping Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the receipt of shipping containers. This role involves close collaboration with our international facility, brokers, logistics partners, and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of containers. The coordinator will oversee the entire process from arrival at the port to delivery at the company's warehouse.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Trucking: Work closely with brokers to arrange and confirm delivery appointments for all incoming shipping containers.
Coordinate inbound delivery appointments for domestic and international containers with receiving
Schedule containers with the shipping line for returning empty trays back to our international facility
Prepare shipping documents for each container of empty trays being returned to our international facility
Notify receiving each day of all containers due to arrive and provide packing list for receiving department.
- Liaise with Brokers and Shipping Partners:Communicate regularly with shipping brokers to monitor container statuses, resolve issues, and ensure smooth delivery processes.
- Ensure all required documentation is complete and submitted in a timely manner to avoid delays in delivery.
Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all incoming shipments. Work with brokers to ensure all shipments comply with international regulations, including customs requirements. Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues related to incoming shipments, including discrepancies, damages, and delays. Liaise with suppliers and carriers to resolve problems efficiently.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics, preferably within a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Understanding of international shipping processes, including customs regulations and import/export documentation.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Office-based role with some travel to ports, warehouses, or distribution centers as needed.
- May require working outside regular business hours to coordinate with international brokers and shipping partners.
