- Ability to work a Sunday – Thursday schedule and rotating Fridays 1x/month
Job Description
- Responsible for all Layer 1 infrastructure including Data Centers, Data Closets, and Server Rooms across multiple locations for the enterprise
- Rack and stack all network server equipment including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Running, tracing, and connecting all cables required for the Data Center environment including fiber, ethernet, copper, etc.
- Picking up and unboxing all new equipment ordered and received
- Supporting the business needs after hours as needed to include moving, rearranging, or troubleshooting cabling issues to ensure power and functionality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering or other related field
- 3+ years of racking and stacking network equipment and running/connecting cabling
- Comfortable with a Sunday – Thursday Schedule and 1x/month On Call rotation
- Ability to travel in-state and out of state to support the enterprise network as needed
