Our Client is seeking a Legal Assistant for its fast-paced Subrogation department.
Position Requirements
• Must be flexible with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced litigation environment;
• Must be capable of performing a variety of administrative, secretarial, and legal duties for associate general counsel;
• Understanding of legal terminology and local court/jurisdiction rules;
• Ability to prioritize and identify urgency as well as manage time and multitask effectively.
Position Duties
• Prepare and/or draft various legal documents such as pleadings, correspondence, and notices;
• Daily telephone contact with Defendants, outside counsel, courts, witnesses, and other related parties;
• Schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, inspections, and other court related activities;
• Review, manage and maintain daily calendar regarding upcoming court appearances, depositions, meetings, and other court related activities;
• Timely complete required litigation and administrative tasks;
• Input and maintain documents and information into the Company’s case management system accurately and in a timely manner.
Experience and Skills
• Previous experience as a legal assistant required
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
• Experience with TimeMatters Case Management System preferred
