Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Type: Full time; Consultant (6 months)
Location: Lenexa, KS 66219
Schedule: Monday to Friday; 9AM-3PM can flex start and end time as required (consistency required).
Pay Rate: $50.00 - $54.95 per hour
We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to focus on updating a large volume of 2D drawings using NX/Teamcenter, which will constitute 85% of the workload. As the SAP implementation project progresses, there will be opportunities to engage in other design-related tasks. This role demands a strong proficiency in NX software, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to adapt to changing project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Update 2D Drawings: Utilize NX/Teamcenter to update and maintain 2D mechanical drawings (85% of the role).
- Collaborate Globally: Work with engineers across various disciplines and locations to design and troubleshoot.
- Process Improvement: Analyze and refine engineering processes.
- Full Design Cycle: Engage in concept evaluation, design, development, certification, and field support.
- Design Reviews: Participate in or lead design reviews and problem-solving sessions.

- Experience with ERP systems, especially SAP.
