We are seeking a talented and motivated Labor and Employment Associate to join our growing office in Atlanta, GA. What You Will Be Doing:
- Advising clients on compliance with federal, state, and local labor and employment laws and regulations.
- Representing clients in employment-related litigation, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage and hour disputes.
- Conducting legal research and drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs in connection with labor and employment matters.
- Assisting with internal investigations of employment practices and conducting employee training on compliance matters.
- Negotiating and drafting employment agreements, severance agreements, and other employment-related documents.
- Handling matters before administrative agencies such as the EEOC and NLRB.
- Collaborating with other attorneys in the firm to provide comprehensive legal solutions to clients.
What You Need for this Position:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- 2-4 years of experience in labor and employment law, preferably with experience at a major law firm.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws.
- Proven litigation experience, including taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, and preparing for trial.
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong client service orientation with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Admission to the Georgia Bar and in good standing. Admission to additional state bars is a plus.
