Akkodis is seeking a Director of Project Controls with HCAi construction projects experience for a long-term position with our client.

- Rate: $75- $84/hr on W2

MUST - HAVES:
- Experience with large-scale HCAi construction projects and proven competency in managing complex project controls.
- 8+ years of experience in construction management or financial administration, with increasing leadership/management responsibility.
- Proficiency in project management software like Procore, Honest Building, or eBuilder.
- Bachelor's degree in financial/business administration, construction management, or a related field.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with a record of driving results and implementing organizational improvements in a healthcare environment.
Job Summary:
The Director of Project Controls plays a strategic leadership role within the System Design and Construction department. This position involves significant decision-making authority regarding staffing, budgeting, and project controls for large-scale construction projects, particularly in the healthcare sector. The Director is responsible for developing and overseeing cost control procedures and managing all phases of project controls, including the implementation and integration of project management software (Procore). The role also includes overseeing project contracting, cost management, change control, document control, and progress reporting. The Director collaborates closely with Health System Finance leadership to ensure alignment with the organization's financial goals.
Required Levels of Experience:
- You'll have significant authority over decision-making, staffing, and budgeting within a leading healthcare construction environment.
- You will manage and implement key project controls on large-scale, high-impact healthcare projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Project Financial Oversight and Reporting (60%):
Establishes and manages project control frameworks, ensuring cost and schedule objectives are met.
- Manages project financials, including cost reports, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
Oversees scheduling activities and ensures alignment with organizational goals.
- Business and Financial Analysis (20%):
Produces project/program control reports and analyzes project spending.
Develops analytics for vendor performance, change orders, and project overruns.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills (10%):
Maintains effective relationships with various stakeholders, including construction managers and university partners.
Communicates critical updates and ensures coordination with the Design & Construction team.
- Implementation & Training (5%):
Trains and mentors staff on project controls, and implements project management systems and tools.
Additional duties as assigned, including emergency response and mandated reporting responsibilities.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) is required within 30 days of hire if not already obtained.
- Professional certifications relevant to cost management, schedule management, and project management are preferred.
- Medical Enterprise - Non-Clinical Onboarding - Must complete all onboarding requirements prior to the start date, with no exceptions.
