Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced BI Lead to drive the strategic direction and implementation of Business Intelligence across the organization. In this role, you will define best practices for data visualization, lead the development of impactful reporting assets, and collaborate with IT and various business units to ensure that data-driven insights are effectively communicated. Your expertise in BI tools like Tableau and Power BI, combined with strong analytical and leadership skills, will be essential in transforming data into actionable intelligence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Best Practices & Strategy: Define and advocate for best practices in data visualization, reporting, and the overall visual delivery of information. Lead the BI strategy across the organization to ensure alignment with key business goals.
- Development of BI Assets: Lead the creation of strategic reports and interactive dashboards using BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms. Develop compelling visualizations to clearly communicate insights derived from data analysis and AI initiatives.
- Collaboration & Platform Development: Work closely with corporate IT to define and deliver a robust technology platform that meets both ad-hoc and enterprise-wide reporting needs. Ensure the platform supports comprehensive data analysis and visualization.
- Data Management: Design, build, and maintain sophisticated reports and dashboards that ensure accuracy and integrity of data through meticulous validation and testing processes.
- Business Engagement: Partner with various business units to gather data requirements and translate them into actionable insights through meaningful reports and visualizations. Provide training and support to business users to empower them in leveraging BI tools effectively.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Guide and mentor BI team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration. Lead cross-functional initiatives to ensure cohesive and integrated data strategies.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in BI technology and data visualization techniques, bringing innovative solutions to the organization.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years’ experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field, with a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, SQL, and data modeling.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to engage, educate, and influence stakeholders using data-driven insights.
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including experience in guiding and mentoring team members and leading cross-functional initiatives.
