Project Manager - Huntersville, NC
Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee large-scale, complex projects with a keen attention to detail and superior organizational skills. This role is pivotal in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Projects You'll Work On:
- Manage high-value projects (est. $300k+) from initiation to completion.
- Develop and monitor project schedules and budgets.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Ensure project profitability and adherence to contractual agreements.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead large projects from sales handover to final delivery, ensuring all milestones are achieved.
- Produce, update, and manage project schedules and budgets, keeping leadership informed.
- Prepare, process, and log project submittals and documents.
- Coordinate work across company departments and with subcontractors.
- Prepare and submit budget, progress, and cost tracking reports.
- Review and negotiate revisions, change orders, or additions to contractual agreements.
- Select and oversee subcontractors to complete specific project tasks.
- Maintain project profitability and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Represent our client professionally and effectively communicate project status.
- Operate with professionalism, precision, urgency, and accountability.
- Stay updated with industry knowledge through proactive continuing education.
- Other duties as assigned.
What Experience You Should Bring:
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in commercial construction, interior design, or themed environments.
- Proven ability to handle complex project management tasks.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of CRM tools (e.g., Netsuite) is advantageous.
- Strong writing, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with building regulations and commercial decoratively themed environments is a plus.
- Ability to multitask, delegate, make decisions, and communicate effectively.
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively under pressure and within deadlines.
- Willingness to travel (less than 10%) including air and overnight travel.
- Position is in-office and not remote.
