This is a full-time remote role for a Solar Program Manager. The Solar Program Manager will be responsible for implementing solar energy systems.
You will oversee the entire project lifecycle for commercial and industrial solar energy projects, ensuring that the project starts on time and to the local requirements. You will work with various teams, including engineers, procurement specialists, and installation and operations teams, to ensure the successful execution of solar projects. Candidate must have experience with commercial solar projects.
Key responsibilities include:
-Staying up to date on all policy decisions and local regulations affecting any potential projects in the pipeline
-Engaging community, local, state, and federal institutions to garner support for large-scale projects
-Conducting feasibility studies and due diligence to determine the viability of solar energy projects
-Assisting in the development of project budgets, objectives, and deliverables
-Coordinating with engineers and procurement specialists to ensure the design and procurement of necessary
equipment and materials
-Overseeing the installation and commissioning of solar energy systems
-Managing external and internal relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, legal, finance, procurement, installation, and maintenance teams
-Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
-Partnering with legal to secure permits and effective compliance
-Developing and maintaining project documentation
-Performing project risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies
-Providing regular project updates to stakeholders
Qualifications:
-Proficiency in solar photovoltaic (PV) system design and installation
-Knowledge of solar energy regulations, permits, and incentives
-Experience in conducting solar site assessments and shading analysis
-Excellent communication skills and ability to work with clients to determine energy requirements
-Strong project management skills and attention to detail
-Certifications in solar energy or renewable energy technologies are a plus
