Job Title: Part-Time HR Generalist
Pay Range: $25-$40/hour, depending on experience
Hours: M-F flexible hours between 830am-5pm (4-5 hours/day)
Location: Hybrid (Office is in Saint Paul)
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor, track, and document compliance with mandatory and optional training, continuing education, and employee assessments.
- Lead the recruitment process by interviewing and selecting qualified candidates; work closely with hiring teams to identify required skills and competencies.
- Conduct background checks and verify employee eligibility.
- Manage the onboarding process, including new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Administer and execute key human resource functions, including compensation, benefits, leave management, performance management, disciplinary actions, and training and development.
- Address employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, escalating complex issues to appropriate personnel.
- Participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations as needed.
- Coordinate the agency's equity and inclusion initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; regularly review and update policies to maintain compliance.
- Stay informed about trends and new technologies in human resources and talent management.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- At least one year of experience in human resource management is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when necessary.
- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough understanding of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
