Role Overview:
As the Construction Project Manager, you will take the lead on multiple commercial projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role demands strong leadership and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to effectively manage relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource management.
- Team Leadership: Coordinate and oversee the work of subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel to ensure project alignment.
- Client Management: Act as the primary liaison with clients, maintaining clear communication and addressing any changes or concerns.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor project quality to ensure all work meets industry standards, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate potential project risks to keep the project on track.
- Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates on project status, including budgets, timelines, and milestones.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: 5-7 years in commercial construction project management, preferably in Queens or similar urban environments.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Certifications: PMP, LEED, or similar certifications are a plus.
- Skills: Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills. Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
- Knowledge: Thorough understanding of NYC building codes and construction regulations.
