JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
The Certified Clinical Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting providers with clinic visits all while providing excellent patient care. This position is located in Asheville, North Carolina.
Essential Functions

Provide direct and telehealth quality care and service to patients under direction of the Clinic Manager or Provider.
Review patient charts and update clinic visit information in the EMR program.
Obtain patient vitals.
Room patients while providing quality patient care.
Handle walk-in patients and obtain request from patient and give them information or tasks to the provider.
Speak to pharmaceutical representatives and accept samples.
Setup clinic room with equipment for procedures. Educate and prepare patient for procedure. Assist the provider with procedures (SIG, hem band, PEG etc.)
Covid-19 screening clinic - testing, cleaning, etc.
Demonstrate ability to adapt to changes in daily schedule.
Maintain strictest confidentiality and privacy of patient and patient records.
Demonstrate a working knowledge and role of all safety plans.
Attend staff meetings and participate in in-service programs to maintain and improve knowledge and skills.
Demonstrate an effort and ability to be an effective team member.
Maintain orderliness, cleanliness, and preparation of rooms between clinic visits to ensure room and equipment are ready prior to arrival of patient.
Refer situations beyond ability or function to appropriate team member.
Assist with restocking of equipment or supplies and monitoring supply inventory.
Foster positive interactions among team members and effectively communicate with other departments as necessary.
Maintain Basic Life Support (CPR) training certification.
Function within the scope of practice for a CCMA and maintain certifications.
Participate in in-services and continuing education to maintain and improve knowledge and skills.
Perform other clinical duties as needed.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is standing most of the day. Frequent lifting, stretching and other physical exertion during positioning of patients and moving equipment is required.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
