Seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Benefits/Payroll Specialist to join HR team at an automotive supplier located in Duncan, South Carolina.
About the Role: In this role, you will focus primarily on managing and enhancing employee benefits programs to ensure workforce receives the best possible support. You will also handle payroll processing, but the emphasis will be in benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and administer comprehensive employee benefits programs, including health insurance, dental and vision plans, retirement plans, life insurance, and other voluntary benefits.
- Conduct benefits orientations and assist employees with benefits enrollment and claims.
- Evaluate and recommend changes to current benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate with benefits providers and brokers to resolve employee issues and improve service delivery.
- Maintain detailed records of employee benefits and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Process payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Respond to employee inquiries related to benefits and payroll, providing clear and accurate information.
- Stay updated on benefits trends and regulations to ensure the company remains competitive and compliant.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits administration, with some experience in payroll processing.
- Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs and regulations.
- Proficiency with HR and payroll software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the automotive industry.
- Experience in Microsoft Excel.
