About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Vice President of Acquisition with a strong background in the light industrial sector. This executive role will focus on identifying, evaluating, and executing acquisition opportunities that align with the company’s growth objectives. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of the light industrial market, including trends, competitors, and potential acquisition targets, and have a proven track record of successful transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement acquisition strategies that support the company’s overall business goals and growth plans within the light industrial sector.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential acquisition targets, including emerging opportunities and competitive threats in the light industrial space.
- Deal Sourcing: Build and maintain a pipeline of acquisition opportunities by cultivating relationships with industry contacts, investment bankers, brokers, and other key stakeholders.
- Due Diligence: Lead the due diligence process for potential acquisitions, coordinating with cross-functional teams to assess financial, operational, legal, and market risks.
- Financial Modeling: Oversee the creation and evaluation of financial models to assess the viability and profitability of potential acquisitions, including scenario planning and sensitivity analysis.
- Negotiation: Lead negotiations with target companies, including the structuring of deal terms, pricing, and financing arrangements, ensuring favorable outcomes for the company.
- Integration Planning: Develop comprehensive integration plans to ensure smooth transitions post-acquisition, focusing on maximizing synergies and achieving targeted outcomes.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates to senior leadership and the Board of Directors on acquisition activities, deal progress, and strategic recommendations.
- Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of acquisition professionals, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes innovation, accountability, and excellence.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all acquisition activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Identify and mitigate potential risks throughout the acquisition process.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, with at least 5 years in the light industrial sector. Proven track record of successful acquisitions and integrations.
