Role Overview:
As a Production Supervisor in our Kitting or Assembly departments, you’ll be at the heart of our manufacturing process, ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently. Your role will involve overseeing production activities, coordinating teams, and making sure that our products meet quality standards and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Support Team Members: Guide and monitor your kitting or assembly teams to keep everything on track. You'll be the go-to person for any issues that arise on the production lines.
- Quality Assurance: Regularly inspect materials, products, and equipment to catch any defects or malfunctions early. If something's not right, you'll report it and get it sorted quickly.
- Collaborate Across Departments: Work closely with other supervisors to make sure everything runs smoothly across different areas of production.
- Encourage and Improve: Motivate your team and look for ways to enhance production methods, improve equipment performance, and boost overall efficiency.
- Track Production Needs: Keep an eye on work orders, production schedules, and other key data to make sure we’re meeting production goals.
- Manage Supplies and Repairs: Order the materials and supplies your team needs, and coordinate any equipment repairs to avoid downtime.
- Record and Report: Maintain records of production activities, including cycle times and costs, and prepare reports for management.
- Inventory Oversight: Ensure that inventory levels are sufficient to meet production needs.
- Safety First: Make sure everyone on your team follows safety guidelines to maintain a secure work environment.
- Cross-Train Teams: Help your team members learn new skills so they can step into different roles as needed, ensuring production stays flexible and efficient.
