My client is looking for an experienced Construction/Project Manager to Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of designated construction projects across both Education and Commercial new construction.
Ensure that goals or objectives of the construction project are accomplished within
timeframe and budget parameters by performing the following duties:
- Estimate job when assigned in conjunction with estimating department.
- Review permit plans and specifications and ensures compliance of construction project.
- Process, review, and approve submittals, shop drawings, and samples.
- Oversee multiple construction projects.
- Review the project specific construction contract to determine timeframe, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project.
- Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of project.
- Direct and coordinate activities of Superintendent and project personnel to ensure project progresses.
- Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required. Prepares project reports including forecasting for management, client, or others.
- Coordinate project activities with required Inspections of government
- regulatory or other governmental agencies.
- Serves as owner contact for projects.
Education and/or Experience:
- College degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent.
- 5 years’ experience preferred in a variety of different types of construction projects
- Experience managing construction of new Education/School buildings is preferred.
