As a Directional Drill Operator / Locator you will support the directional drilling for the installation of underground conduit and fiber optic cable.
Role:
- Locate for horizontal directional driller for the installation of underground conduit and fiber optic cable
- Operate a horizontal directional bore in collaboration with the Drill Locator to successfully install coax and fiber systems
- Ensure the safety of the public utility facilities
- Read utility locates and coordinates of the facilities
- Transport heavy equipment to and from the job site on a daily basis
About You:
- Safety as a part of your day
- Track record of completing work with a high level of quality
- Ability to “think on your feet” to resolve problems and have an hands-on approach to work
- Minimum of 2 years utility directional drilling experience in an urban environment
- Experience with different drills
- Ability to read and understand maps, drawings and diagrams
- Valid license and clean driving record
- Valid Class A CDL is a plus
- Enjoy leading a team
- Ability to travel
