Job Title: Senior Geotechnical/Geostructural Practice Leader

Our 100% Employee owned top-tier client seeks a seasoned Multidisciplinary Engineer to lead their Geotechnical Department in the DC Metro area, covering Virginia and Maryland. This role involves overseeing diverse projects, including foundations, tunnels, dams, excavation support, ground improvement, and environmental work.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Grow the practice in DC, Maryland, and Virginia by engaging clients and cross-selling services.
- Drive business development and lead proposal efforts.
- Maintain market presence through client engagement and industry events.
- Ensure technical excellence and mentor staff.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and strategic planning.
- Provide senior oversight and serve as Engineer of Record.
- Travel 20-30%.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 15+ years in geotechnical/geostructural engineering, with experience in the DC, Maryland, or Virginia markets.
- M.S. in Civil, Structural, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.
- Proven Seller-Doer with strong client relationships and business development skills.
- Broad technical background with deep knowledge of geotechnical/geostructural principles.
- Recognized for technical excellence and innovative, client-focused solutions.
- Strong team builder with excellent communication and report writing skills.
- Professional Engineering license required.
- Ability to travel to branch offices, project, and client sites as needed.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
