Your new role
You'll be working as an experienced professional responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, construction expertise, and effective communication abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to determine project specifications.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with external vendors to secure profitable agreements.
- Permits and Licenses: Obtain necessary permits and licenses from relevant authorities.
- Resource Planning: Determine required resources (staff, equipment, materials) throughout the project life-cycle, considering budget constraints.
- Project Planning: Develop comprehensive construction plans, including intermediate phases, to meet deadlines.
- Equipment and Material Acquisition: Procure necessary equipment and materials, monitoring stock levels.
- Team Management: Hire contractors and allocate responsibilities. Supervise laborers and provide guidance when needed.
- Progress Evaluation: Regularly assess project progress and prepare detailed reports.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety standards, promptly reporting any issues.
What you'll need to succeed
Requirements and Skills:
- Proven experience as a construction project manager.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
- Familiarity with quality standards and health and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Office and construction/project management software.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Experience of estimating projects is a must.
What you'll get in return
Compensation for this role ranges on experience, but is up to $145,000 base. Benefits and company cell and truck are provided as well as an annual bonus structure.
