Bilingual EHS Safety Manager
Reports To: Plant Manger

Traveling 75% between 2 sites Murrieta and Carlsbad Ca
Job Summary:
The Safety Manager monitors workplace activities to promote safety and ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· None.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
· Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.
· Conducts employee training on applicable safety standards.
· Reviews safety training and recommends revisions, improvements, and updates.
· Conducts safety inspections and audits to assess employee compliance with safety regulations.
· Inspects safety equipment; recommends replacements.
· Drafts and implements internal safety standards and policies.
· Reviews accidents and incidents reported by employees and visitors to the facility.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
· Implement and maintain health and safety standards
· Revise existing safety programs and/or develop new safety programs
· Perform regular safety site audits
· Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures
· Review existing policies and measures and update according to new/current OSHA requirements
· Perform ergonomic assessments
· Build strong relationships with managers, employees, and leadership team
· Foster and promote a safety culture
· Maintain OSHA 300
· Manage regulatory agencies audits and inspections
· Maintain the safety training platform KPA, i.e.: new hires, terminations, updates, assign training, etc.
Required Skills/ Abilities:
· Extensive knowledge of company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to conduct training.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
· Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
· Ability to travel between 2 sites
· Have a keen attention to detail
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or related field required.
· Health and safety certifications preferred i.e.: CSP, ASP, OSHA 10-Hour or OSHA 30 Hour.
· Three years of related experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to travel throughout facility to conduct safety inspections.
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
