Our client, a mission-driven finance firm that invests in sustainability is urgently seeking a driven People Operations Assistant to join their amazing team in San Francisco! In this role, you will be pivotal to ensuring that their new-hires are onboarded properly and have an amazing, high-touch experience. We’re looking for someone experienced and well-organized who is eager to get to work partnering with this collaborative, close-knit team.
**Please note this is a 6-month, hybrid contract role, pay will be $35-43/hr**
Responsibilities
- Preparing and sending out customized offer letters, ensuring all terms are clearly communicated and aligned with company standards.
- Initiate and coordinate the background check process, working with background check vendors to guarantee timely and compliant results.
- Ensure that new hires are onboarded properly in accordance with federal regulations and receive a warm welcome email and all necessary details about their first day, setting a positive tone from the start.
- Design and lead engaging and informative orientation sessions, covering company culture, policies, and procedures, ensuring new hires feel welcomed and informed.
- Provide thorough overview of the company's benefits package and assist employees with enrollment and addressing any questions they had.
- Maintaining up-to-date employee records, ensuring all files were current and compliant with legal and company requirements.
- Ad-hoc projects as needed.
Requirements:
- 5 years of applicable experience
- An interest/passion in sustainability
- Bachelor’s degree - preferred
- Hghly proficient in MS Office and open to learning additional software systems
- Superb written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated track record of managing multiple tasks, as well as sensitive information, with discretion
- Ability to work collaboratively and with cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented, focused, and have an upbeat personality!
