Our client, a leading consumer plastics manufacturer, seeks an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to uphold product quality and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute quality programs, policies, and procedures.
- Oversee Quality Inspection and Engineering teams.
- Evaluate and refine production methods and quality audit plans.
- Participate in new product development and ensure availability of necessary equipment.
- Monitor and report on quality metrics, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions.
- Conduct meetings for root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Enforce safety regulations and support staff development and performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or related field; extensive relevant experience considered.
- 5-10 years in manufacturing quality assurance, with 1-3 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience with plastics manufacturing (injection, blow, extrusion molding).
- Certifications such as Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, or ISO 9000 Lead Auditor preferred.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance methods, ISO standards, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality metrics analysis.
- Spanish fluency is a plus.
