Element Care’s CFO is retiring after 27 years of successful leadership. Element Care is extremely well-positioned to meet current and future goals: It has a clear mission, a dedicated and committed staff, and excellent programs, with established and new strategic partnerships and initiatives underway. Through fiscal planning and management, the new CFO will maintain the financial stability of the organization while it continues to increase its reach.
The Chief Financial Officer Role: Scope and Responsibilities
The Chief Financial Officer is a highly visible leadership position for an experienced professional with
proven success in the healthcare sector leading the financial operations of a fast-paced, multifaceted organization with complex administrative, operational and service demands. The CFO represents an outstanding opportunity to impact the financial operations, as well as the future and strategic direction of Element Care. As a strategic partner to the CEO and Executive Leadership team, the CFO is responsible for ensuring Element Care is effectively positioned to succeed in the dynamic economic environment in which it operates. The CFO is entrusted with establishing both short and long-term plans and goals.
Reporting to the CEO, the CFO organizes, prepares and implements policies related to Fiscal matters, and participates and contributes to the company wide strategic initiatives. The CFO participates in the planning, development and coordination of all organizational ventures and is the principal source of financial information for the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Operating Officer, and the Board of Directors.
The CFO will lead a department of 32 staff in the functional areas of Accounting & Reporting, Claims Processing & Analytics, Contracting & Legal/Compliance, Facilities and Plan Eligibility.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated executive leadership experience in healthcare finance preferably within the non-profit sector.
- Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Financial acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to successfully manage teams.
- Knowledge and experience with healthcare on both the provider and payer side preferred.
- PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) experience is a significant advantage.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems.
The ideal candidate will be an energetic, creative, forward-thinking, intelligent financial executive who possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills, analytical and strategic-thinking abilities, as well as a strong command of financial principles. This individual will have strong business acumen and an ability to establish and execute the vision for the future; be an innovative, visionary healthcare leader who can provide expert guidance to the Executive Leadership team on all financial matters and strategies.
This position will be onsite initially with potential to transition to hybrid.
