Senior Sustainability Manager to join their expanding team.
Overview:
The Sr. Manager, Sustainability will develop and execute long-term sustainability initiatives, aligning with broader company goals. This role involves creating sustainability strategies, tracking key metrics, and reporting to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Execution:
- Lead the execution of the sustainability strategy in collaboration with the VP of Sustainability.
- Track and report sustainability metrics monthly.
- Oversee sustainability data management across business units.
Program Management:
- Supervise a sustainability analyst.
- Integrate sustainability into core business processes with senior-level support.
- Work with internal teams to coordinate sustainability efforts.
- Develop and promote sustainability communication campaigns.
- Stay informed on sustainability trends and educate others.
Technical Leadership:
- Drive initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, waste, and water use.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting on sustainability metrics.
- Support resource consumption and waste reduction efforts.
Industry Engagement:
- Lead quarterly sustainability reviews and participate in industry meetings.
- Build external relationships to support sustainability goals.
- Represent the company in industry organizations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Business, Environmental Science, or Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years in sustainability roles, preferably in plastics.
- Knowledge of recycled materials and regulatory landscapes.
- Strong project management experience (PMP preferred).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently with up to 30% travel.
