Responsibilities:
Oversee Safe and Efficient Plant Operation:
- Ensure safe, reliable, and environmentally sound operation of plant equipment.
- Properly operate control room, combustion turbines, and auxiliary equipment during normal and emergency situations.
Effective Communication:
- Clearly communicate information both orally and in writing.
Troubleshooting and Data Handling:
- Troubleshoot plant equipment to resolve operational issues.
- Use various computer systems to receive, analyze, and input data.
- Monitor and record data using instruments, charts, and monitoring devices.
Emergency Preparedness:
- Implement plant emergency procedures as needed.
Technical Skills and Decision-Making:
- Interpret meter and gauge readings, adapting to variations in operating conditions.
- Apply knowledge of gas power plant operations and basic principles to daily tasks.
- Operate computers, printers, and control panels.
Responsibility and Physical Requirements:
- Work independently without supervision.
- Take, record, and analyze readings from electrical and mechanical meters.
- Train other operators.
- Ensure shift operations and maintenance tasks are performed.
- Understand the impact of switches and valves on overall plant operation.
- Meet physical demands (standing, walking, climbing, squatting).
Flexible Schedule:
- Ability to do rotating shifts and response calls 24/7
