Adams & Martin Group is seeking an experienced Litigation Assistant for a large, reputable firm in Newport Beach. The position will support the Litigation Manager and attorneys with various tasks. Strong work ethic, personal responsibility, and organization are key for success.
Candidates must be able to work in office in Newport Beach. The firm does offer a hybrid schedule, wokring 1 day from home, 4 days in office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage case files and prepare legal documents (pleadings, motions, affidavits, etc.)
- File and docket court documents, track deadlines
- Assist with case material review, preparation of charts, and privilege logs
- Support mediation and trial preparation
- Maintain accurate time records and use firm software effectively
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Preferred: Undergraduate degree or ABA-approved paralegal certificate
- Minimum 5 years prior litigation experience required
- Ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure, and work well in a team
- Proficiency in state and federal court filings
- Excellent English communication, grammar, and writing skills
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work overtime if needed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), exertise in Adobe
