Taco Ranch is looking for a Kitchen Manager for our fast-casual taco restaurant. In order to succeed in this role on must have prior kitchen managerial experience, a positive work ethic, and a genuine thirst to be a leader and inspire their peer’s.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Kitchen Manager at Taco Ranch in Pigeon Forge, TN. The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, cooking, food & beverage management, ensuring high food quality, and culinary management.
Qualifications
- Manage kitchen staff and coordinate food orders
- Supervise food prep and cooking
- Check food plating and temperature (%100 accuracy)
- Establish portion sizes
- Schedule kitchen and utility staff staff shifts
- Price menu items in collaboration with the Restaurant Manager
- Order food supplies and kitchen equipment, as needed
- Train kitchen staff on prep work and food plating techniques
- Store food products in compliance with safety practices (e.g. in refrigerators, prep area, dry storage, freezers, line area)
- Keep weekly and monthly cost reports
- Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area
- Maintain 98% health inspections
- Make all Maintenance calls for back of house.
- Ensure outside areas around store are clean and in good repair.
- Ensure all minor laws are followed in B.O.H.
- Create cleaning list to be followed and set up preventative maintenance for all equipment. (including but not limited to HVAC systems kitchen equipment)
- Assist the GM and Assistant GM in all task that maybe delegated to the kitchen manager.
- Managing day to day operations and administrative paperwork.
- Create and maintain labeling system for all product so no out of date product is in the building.
