O’Hagan Meyer PLLC is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate with 3-9 years of experience to join its Fresno, CA office. This attorney will have significant experience handling all aspects of complex and sophisticated litigation, including researching and writing legal memoranda, drafting pleadings, substantive motions and written discovery, taking and defending depositions, preparing for trial and working with clients.

Job Requirements
- 3-9 years of civil litigation experience, including researching and writing legal memoranda, drafting pleadings, substantive motions and written discovery, developing litigation strategy, conducting large-scale document reviews and productions, preparing for trial or arbitration, taking and defending depositions, working directly with clients, communicating with opposing counsel and second-chairing trials, arbitrations and/or evidentiary hearings.
- The ideal candidate will have labor and employment litigation experience however, general civil litigation (e.g., products liability, personal injury) experience is also welcome.
- Experience defending employers in wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, ADA access, failure to pay wages or benefits, negligent hiring or retention, and defamation is a plus. Additional experience with PAGA and wage and hour class action claims is also beneficial.
- Excellent writing and analytical skills required. This attorney must demonstrate an exceptional ability to draft persuasive, clear and effective pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, memoranda, mediation statements, orders and settlement agreements.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills required. The ideal candidate will have the confidence and demeanor to build relationships with the Firm’s current clients, as well as the drive and ability to develop additional client relationships and business.
- The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills. This attorney will be able to efficiently manage multiple matters at a time and produce exceptional work product under tight deadlines.
- The ideal candidate will have the ability to work as part of a team, but also possess the experience, skills and confidence to step into a leadership role.
- This attorney must have a drive for excellence and a willingness to take the initiative to solve problems. The ideal candidate will be an ambitious and highly motivated attorney who always strives to achieve the best possible result for the client.
- This attorney must be detail-oriented and thorough – they will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in every aspect of their practice.
- The billing requirement is 1,900 hours per year. Annual bonuses are given for hours billed in excess of this minimum requirement.
