Title: Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant

Work Environment: 3 days onsite / 2 days WFH
Hours per week: 37.5
# of attorneys supporting: 8-10 (all attorneys don’t need to support all of them 100% of the time)
Candidates MUST HAVE General Litigation experience.
Highly prefer candidates that have Bankruptcy and/or IP Litigation experience
This position will provide administrative support to Litigation lawyers in a highly collaborative working environment.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for document preparation, editing of pleadings, and file maintenance
- File electronically in both State and Federal courts
- Work with timekeepers, input time entry, and client billing
- Client contact in person and over the phone
- Travel arrangements, reimbursements and other administrative tasks
- Handle confidential/sensitive firm and/or client information
- These duties may be ongoing or ad-hoc in nature
- Other duties as may be assigned to fully meet the requirements for this position
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of Litigation experience in a mid to large sized law firm and be proficient in legal secretarial and administrative tasks including, but not limited to, document preparation, filing, time entry, expenses, telephone contact, travel arrangements, and calendar maintenance
- Must be familiar with local court rules
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize, work independently, and multi-task a must. Ability to work in a high-volume environment
- The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills and excellent client service
- Qualified candidates must be proficient in MS Word, Outlook (including utilization of styles and pleading to format documents), Excel, and PowerPoint; must exhibit strong typing skills and have the ability to learn and quickly become proficient in new computer software programs
- Candidates should possess excellent written and oral communication and solid organizational skills
- Candidates should also be detail-oriented, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, have the ability to prioritize incoming/outgoing tasks, and work effectively independently and within a team
- Availability for overtime is required
