Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead and manage electrical construction projects in the Los Angeles area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, project management, and team leadership, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Electrical Project Manager will coordinate with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to deliver successful electrical projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Management:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resources, and risk management strategies for electrical construction projects.
- Oversee all phases of electrical projects, from pre-construction to project closeout.
- Ensure projects adhere to all plans, specifications, and industry standards, particularly local Los Angeles regulations.
- Client and Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing concerns related to electrical work.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure project alignment and compliance.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among all project stakeholders.
- Budget and Financial Management:
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency for electrical projects.
- Monitor and report on project financial performance, identifying and addressing variances.
- Negotiate contracts, change orders, and other financial agreements related to electrical work.
- Quality and Safety Assurance:
- Implement and enforce quality control and safety procedures to ensure high standards of workmanship and compliance with safety regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and resolve issues.
- Ensure all electrical projects meet regulatory and company standards.
- Technical Expertise:
- Provide technical guidance and support for all electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, and low-voltage systems.
- Ensure all electrical systems comply with local, state, and federal codes and regulations, including Los Angeles-specific requirements.
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during the construction phase.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and manage project teams, including electricians, foremen, and other support staff.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide professional development opportunities.
- Problem Solving and Decision Making:
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues related to electrical systems.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical project management, particularly in the Los Angeles area.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and local regulations.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent preferred.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Primavera).
- Strong financial acumen and budget management experience.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal electrical codes and regulations, including Los Angeles-specific requirements.
