Job Summary:
Designs, creates, administers, and monitors business process data extracts for data that needs to be extracted, transformed, and loaded into the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) or similar repository. Troubleshoots and resolves ETL and other data movement related issues. Aggregates data from multiple sources into a data warehouse or other data repository to ensure EDW remains operational. Maintains a detailed knowledge base of the underlying data and data structures, and manages data content, current and potential future users, and the quality and integrity of data within the EDW. Captures and analyzes business requirements for an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). Analyzes and supports the reliability of ETLs that export data from the EDW.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:
Create, configure, deploy, and maintain ETL ingestion processes for collecting and/or aggregating data into a database, data warehouse or other multidimensional database structure.
Perform root cause analysis on processes to resolve production issues related to the support of ETL applications.
Monitor and maintain nightly data processing jobs for success. Proactively troubleshoot and rectify any failures or production issues.
Analyzes and plans storage requirements for data warehouse systems.
Working with the database administrator, configure, deploy, and maintain data warehouse or other multidimensional database servers
Uses SQL data warehouse tools to maintain integrity between various Langley FCU disparate systems.
Implement ETL procedures for all new data ingestions into the EDW and maintain effective awareness of all production activities according to required standards and provide support to all existing applications.
Perform tests and validate all data flows and prepare all ETL ingestion processes according to business requirements and incorporate all business requirements into all design specifications.
Perform monitoring, tuning and performance analytics on new and existing database systems.
Create supporting documentation, such as metadata and diagrams of entity relationships, business processes, and process flow.
Create plans, test files, and scripts for data warehouse testing, ranging from unit to integration testing.
Dedicated to maintaining confidentiality, availability, accuracy, and integrity of all data on the managed database servers.
Qualifications:
Four-year degree from a college or university specializing in Information Systems, Computer Science, or other related field; 2-years related experience; or equivalent combination of working experience/training required.
Microsoft certification relevant to the database administration field strongly preferred.
