Summary of Position
The Manufacturing Night Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing of human plasma into protein intermediates, ensuring compliance with cGMP requirements and safety regulations while leading a team of technicians and operators.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, direction, and mentoring to Technicians/Operators/Associates
- Schedule workload for shifts and ensure smooth transitions
- Initiate Incident Notifications and participate in Failure Mode Analysis
- Ensure availability of production materials and PPE
- Oversee employee training and compliance with cGMPs and SOPs
- Develop SOPs and specifications as required
- Lead safety initiatives and participate in company-wide safety teams
- Ensure compliance with cGMP requirements, including batch record review
- Manage performance of direct reports, including reviews and disciplinary actions
- Participate in hiring to maintain appropriate staffing levels
- Maintain work areas in compliance with cGMP and internal requirements
- Keep work areas in EH&S / GMP regulatory audit-ready condition
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Five (5) years' experience in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum three (3) years in a supervisory role
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and Database management
- Comprehensive understanding of global cGMPs, regulations, and validation requirements
