We are seeking an experienced Agriculture Production Planning Manager to join our organization. The Agriculture Production Planning Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of production planning, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and adherence to production schedules to meet company goals. The ideal candidate would have a great amount of experience in agricultural production, along with exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to lead a team effectively.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create and implement production plans and schedules to optimize resource utilization and meet production targets.
- Work together with farm managers and other growers to forecast crop yields, plan planting schedules, and create harvesting activities.
- Oversee and analyze production data to identify key areas for improvement in efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
- Manage and monitor inventory levels while communicating with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of resources/products.
- Maintain quality control standards throughout the production process in order to ensure products meet market requirements.
- Formulate reports and forecasts related to production planning and performance.
- Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with or in agricultural production planning or a similar role
- Excellent understanding of general agricultural practices (GAP), crop management, and farm operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Skilled in agricultural software and ERP systems for production planning and data analysis.
- Exceptional leadership abilities with experience in leading and developing teams.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate and articulate between the multiple departments and with external growers/customers.
