Our client is expanding their transportation services to meet the booming demand in the produce market, we're looking for a dynamic Manager, of Perishable Logistics Sales & Operations to lead the charge. In this role, you’ll be the key to efficiently managing and optimizing the transportation of fresh produce, seamlessly connecting shippers (from farmers to retailers) with top carriers.
Duties
- Identify and cultivate potential clients, building strong, lasting relationships.
- Manage everything from the first handshake to contract sign-off, ensuring smooth customer experiences.
- Skillfully secure competitive rates, expanding our market footprint.
- Work closely with internal teams to deliver top-tier freight brokerage solutions.
- Keep up with industry trends and pricing strategies to boost your sales performance.
Qualifications
- 5 years in logistics, transportation, or freight brokerage,
- 3+ years specifically in Produce.
- Experience with refrigerated and short-shelf-life products is a must.
- Familiarity with produce production and farming processes.
- Proven experience with LTL, FTL, and 3PL carriers.
- A strong track record in sales, backed by a relentless pursuit of excellence.
- Self-motivated, with a solid work ethic and top-notch communication skills.
- Capable of thriving both independently and in a collaborative environment.
- Experience in the refrigerated freight business is a big plus.
