Responsibilities:
- Leads the creation, execution, and management of compensation programs: This includes merit increases, bonuses, executive compensation, and incentive plans.
- Builds and empowers a high-performing payroll team: Manages hiring, development, and performance of team members.
- Develops innovative compensation solutions: Designs programs, incentive plans, salary structures, and job architectures.
- Partners with HR teams: Collaborates with HRIS analysts and HR partners on program changes, improvements, and system efficiencies.
- Owns Workday Payroll processes: Ensures smooth operation of Workday Payroll for the US and UK.
- Guides HR partners on compensation: Provides expert advice on compensation programs and strategies.
- Ensures legal compliance: Maintains adherence to all federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations.
Qualifications/Background Profile:
- Proven track record of at least 5 years in progressively responsible roles within employee compensation and multi-state payroll.
- Deep understanding of all federal, state, and local regulations relevant to employee compensation and compliance.
- Strong analytical mind with the ability to interpret, translate, and present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
- Tech-savvy with advanced Excel skills, experience with HRIS systems (preferably Workday), and a history of managing or configuring HCM systems.
- Experience spearheading projects and integrations to optimize HR systems and processes.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with at least two years of experience managing a team effectively.
- Exceptional time management capabilities along with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines under pressure.
- Prior experience working with global compensation, payroll, and international teams is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, human resources or related field
- Certified compensation credential; SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) are desired.
